I don’t usually post anything political, but I guess a part of growing up is that I started to realize the importance of the little things in life, that I wouldn’t have noticed 5 years ago. I have also grown to understand the importance of peace, the darkness of fear, and the resilience of human beings. I learn to be compassionate and appreciate my “privilege.” I Indulge myself in comfort peace. Sadly, in some parts of the world. it’s a whole different story. Long story short, is that no matter where you are from, whether it be Haiti, Ukraine, Syria, or the United States, you deserve to feel safe and live your life free from fear.
Maybe this is just a Pipe Dream, but every day I wake up and look at my son growing up learning things that he didn’t know the day before. I often think about the kind of future I want for him. envision a sort of utopian future for the next generation. Free from discrimination, free from territorial conflict, free from kidnapping, abundantly healthy, and free to think and collaborate.
