“During my recent trip from Tampa to DC, I was struck by the significant difference between Tampa International Airport and Baltimore BWI. While Tampa International is modern, clean, and well-maintained, BWI was the complete opposite. It was dirty, run-down, and in need of renovation.
I was also disappointed by the overall experience at BWI. Despite being one of the busiest airports in North America, the staff seemed indifferent and unprofessional. The TSA was efficient, but the rental car representative, shuttle driver, and security personnel were all lacking in customer service.
It was a shame that my first impression of America was shaped by my experience at BWI. As a major gateway to the DC area, I hope that this airport will receive the necessary renovations and improvements to bring it up to par with other airports in North America. The infrastructure bill should prioritize the overhaul of BWI, as it is in desperate need of some TLC.”
